How Will My Heavy Duty Recliner Be Shipped To Me?

WILL My Recliner Ship By UPS?

Your big man recliner cannot be shipped via UPS as it is a very large and heavy parcel and UPS only ships smaller boxes. I wish we could ship it UPS.

Will I need Help Bring My Recliner Indoors?

Yes. The Big Man Recliner is large and heavy and you will need two very strong people to handle taking the recliner off of the truck and then indoors. The driver might help, but he is under no obligation.

What Kind Of Truck Will Bring My Recliner?

We have to ship your Lane Big Man recliner via a freight company. That means that a freight company that delivers to your neighborhood will bring it on their truck. This truck will probably have a dock height doorway which can be four feet or so off the ground.

How Will My Recliner Be Packaged?

The recliner will come in a heavy duty cardboard box, 37 in. tall, 40 in. wide and , 45 in. deep in size. The recliner will further be packaged in plastic inside o the box. This box will be strapped down to a wooden pallet to help it ride smoother to your home.

Will The Driver Dispose OF My Packaging Waste?

The driver may take the pallet back with him but he has no obligation to do so. Pallets do cost money and some drivers can make a few dollars selling them to their freight company. The driver will not take the cardboard or the plastic your recliner comes in, that is your responsibility.

How Heavy Is The Recliner?

The recliner, box and plastic will weigh around 148 pounds, so it is a two strong person job to bring it into your home.

Will The Driver Take The Recliner Into My Home?

No. The driver is under no obligation to anything but get the recliner to your home, not in your home. In fact, the drivers only obligation will be to get your recliner to the tailgate of his truck. After that, it is up to you.

Will I Have To Put My Recliner Together?

Yes. The recliner comes in two parts to save you on shipping expense. The best idea, and only idea, is to open up your recliner box outside and carry each of the halves, the bottom and the back, indoors where they go and then put them together. This has the dual benefits of lower weight apart then together and it will also ease getting the built recliner through a doorway. The recliner, in the box, will probably not go through a residential door as is. It will fit in your garage if you want to assemble it later. The recliner back slips onto the recliner frame easily and bolts tightly, no tools required.

Can I order a white glove do everything service for my recliner?

No, not at this time. The cost for a white glove service would be more than the recliner is selling for plus the time factor to have it shipped is increased considerably.

Shipping Information:

Deliveries are performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding holidays. Buyer generally will receive a courtesy call from the carrier to schedule a four hour or so window for delivery. Buyers signature is required.
